Team disappointment The audience here has been incredible, and we have let them down. The players have been extremely hurt, but since this is the opening match in the T20 series, we plan to recover. [On having five fielders pressed into the circle in the final two overs] It was, indeed. We were unruly and paid the price in 18 overs for 150; the guys are aware of this. It was always going to be difficult to get 190. We had a strong start, but the hitters fizzled out. Every time we gained some momentum, we dropped wickets, and that cost us. In the first ten overs, we had already lost four wickets, which cost us the game.
Rohit Sharma:
Making shots wasn’t simple at first. The guys who are in a set have to keep going. The spinners had some support. The pitch has a leisurely pace to it. 190 was excellent given how we ended the first innings. We persevered and scored higher than par. When we bat in the first six overs, in the middle, and towards the end, we want to attempt a few different things. The players are given tasks to complete in order to improve a few aspects.
