Regis Chakabva:Oz bowled pretty well at us, in my opinion. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the players going as they made good use of the wicket. It’s enormous. When we travel to Australia, we always aim to compete with the best. We were aware that coming here would be a test for us when we arrived. Although I thought the first game went well, there is much to take back today. Despite our extremely low total, the bowlers came out fighting.
Aaron Finch:“I considered [bowling] to be cold. The tone that Starc and Hazlewood created was excellent. Everything went just as expected there. Carey is ranked #4. I believe we need to be adaptable and comprehend where you play. We need to continue experimenting with the various one-day cricket rules over the coming few weeks. I’ve discussed selection flexibility with the lads. No of the outcome, you just want to keep playing good cricket.
Mitchell Starc, player of the match:Few people were conversing on the golf course. The wicket was somewhat poppy and resembled a tennis ball with a thick layer of grass on it. Josh and I needed to be more aggressive and focus more on the stumps. Today’s bowling was a tremendous plus, and our powerplay was strong. [Smith] The Steve we’ve known for more than ten years appeared to be ready to challenge the game. He makes good contact with the ball.
